The Dash Player has been released under the Creative Commons License. You do not need to purchase a license to use this player on your website (even commercial sites). However, the Dash Player logo is required to be shown for any unlicensed player. In other words, a license is only required if you wish to remove or change branding on the Dash Media Player. Once a valid license has been purchased, and the license code has been placed in the dashconfig.xml file, the Dash Player logo will disappear where you can then replace that logo with your own branding.

Once you purchase a license, and would like to provide your own logo, you can simply use the logo variable along with the link variable, like the following code shows...

License Details

• This license does not expire. This means that once you make a single purchase, you will never have to make another license purchase again!
• With your license, you will still be able to update and upgrade your player to the latest version provided at http://www.tmtdigital.com/dashplayer.
• License is valid for a single domain. Any additional domains will need another license. Sub-domains are NOT considered an "additional domain", so you may use a single license for many sub-domains.
• After a license has been purchased, the Dash Player logo will no longer show in which you can then replace that with any logo you wish. See the FlashVars section for more information.

Web Development Firms

• If you are a web development firm and would like a license for your companies website to use for sandbox/developmental purposes, then please contact us using our Contact Form. We are happy to give a license to any web development company who would like to use the Dash Media Player to develop their clients websites.
